About

I'm Nina, and I'm new to North Carolina.

I grew up in San Diego. It's a mythical place where "cold" is 65 degrees, "hot" is 85 degrees, and "perfect" is somewhere in between and takes place about 75-percent of the year. It looks like this:

That's the Museum of Man in Balboa Park, one of my favorite areas in San Diego.

I am married to Barrett, who moved to San Diego for me and then cave-manned me back to the South once I'd agreed to spend my life him. It was a really sneaky move that I didn't see coming, but with the promise of cheaper rent, things calls "seasons", and world-famous barbecue, I was easily swayed.

He gave me a beautiful ring and proposed over a cheese plate. I couldn't say no!

I don't have a fancy camera, work-life balance, extreme fitness goals, or a lifestyle that I think other people should follow. I do enjoy reading healthy living and fashion blogs, but I also had leftover Domino's cheesy bread for breakfast and I'm currently wearing old jeans, a hoodie that's lost all elasticity, and some Uggs. It's not snowing outside.

So, now we live here:

There aren't any palm trees, but there are other green things and you can drink beer and shoot guns.

When I'm not working, wife-ing, or socializing, I'm going to try and maintain this blog. I hope you enjoy it.
